From minor challenges to major crises, Stress is a part of life. Stress and anxiety are found in most people. And while you can't always control your circumstances, you can control how you respond to them. When stress become overwhelming, or it's chronic, it can take a toll on your well-being. That's why it's important to have a effective stress relievers that can calm your mind.
Here are some simple ways to relieve stress and anxiety. 
- MEDITATION : Meditation is a very easy technique that, if practiced for a 10-15 minutes a day, can help you to control stress, decrease anxiety, improve cardiovascular health, and achieve a greater capacity for relaxation. Its very simple. Sit up without bending back and both feet on the floor. Close your eyes. Focus your attention on reciting a positive mantra such as "I have the power to change myself" or "I like myself". Place one hand on bottom to sync the mantra with inhalation. Let any distracting thoughts float by like clouds.
- BE GRATEFUL : Use these journals to savor good experiences like child's smile, a sunshine-filled day, and good health. Don't forget to celebrate accomplishments like mastering a new task at work or a new hobby.When you start feeling stressed, and a few minutes looking through your notes to remind yourself what really matters.
- STOP SMOKING OR OTHER BAD HABITS : Aside from the obvious health risk of cigarettes, nicotine acts as a stimulant and brings on more stress symptoms. Give yourself the gift of dropping unhealthy habits.
- EXERCISE REGULARLY : Exercise is one of the important things you can do to combat stress. It seems contradictory, but putting stress on your body through exercise can relieve mental stress. The benefits are strongest when you exercise regularly. People who exercise regularly faced less anxiety than those who don't exercise. Choose non-competitive exercise and set reasonable goals. Aerobic exercise has been shown to release endorphins.
- REDUCE YOUR CAFFEINE INTAKE : Caffeine is a stimulant build in coffee, tea, chocolate and energy drinks. High doses can increase anxiety. People have various thresholds for how much caffeine they can indulge. If you notice that caffeine makes you anxious, consider cutting back. Although many studies convey that coffee can be nutritious in moderation, its not for all. In general, fewer cups per day is considered a moderate amount.

- SPEND TIME WITH FAMILY AND FRIENDS : Social support from friends and family can help you get through stressful times. Being part of a friend network gives you a sense of belonging and feel self-worth, which can help peoples in tough time. Another study found that the men and women with the fewest social relationship were more likely to suffer from depression and anxiety. Having a strong social bond may help you get through stressful times and lower risk of anxiety.
- LAUGH : Its hard to feel worried when your laughing. It's good for your health and it helps to relieve stress. A study among people with cancer found that the people in the laughter intervention group experienced more stress relief than those who are unable to concentrate. Try watching a funny TV show or hanging out with friends you feel happy.

- LEARN TO SAY NO : Not all stress are within your control, but some are. Take control over the situations of your life that you can change and causing you stress. One way to do this by saying "no" more often. This especially true if you find yourself taking on more than you can handle, as juggling many responsibilities can leave you feeling overwhelmed. Being selective about what you take one and saying no to things that will unnecessarily add to your load can reduce your stress level.
- TAKE A YOGA CLASS : Yoga has become a desired method of stress relief and exercise among all age group. Yoga primarily does this by expanding body and breath awareness. Some studies have examined yoga's effect mental health. Overall, research has found that yoga can enhance mood of the people and may even be as effective as antidepressant drugs at treating depression and anxiety. Yoga is widely used for stress reduction.
- SLEEP BETTER : Sleep is very important factor in our life. Sufficient amount of sleep is necessary for human body. Lack of sleep can also be a reason for stress. This vicious cycle effect the brain and body to get out of drub and only gets worse with time. Turn TV off before going to sleep, dim the lights and give yourself time to relax before going to bed. It is the most effective stress buster on our list.
